ensure that every student
has access to a 21 st Century
education. Increase your
expectations. WHS is on its
way. Ever Onward! Foreign language students are busy! Dr. Hetler’s Spanish
classes are learning different tenses and focusing on
vocabulary related to the medical field, clothing and food
items found at the marketplace. French classes have also
been focusing on food, as well as tasting French cheeses
and even caviar! Mrs. Alvarez’s classes just completed a
unit on numbers, where students made calendars including
months, days and special occasions in Spanish. Mr.
Lozano’s Spanish Heritage class has been reading and
discussing literature in Spanish. His other classes are
talking about passages of life celebrations and how to
prepare for a trip. All classes are actively involved in
language learning through reading, writing, speaking,
special projects and classroom presentations.
